R.O.U.S. & JBX
So last night Amber wakes me up, it's like 4:00 a.m., and she's freaking out because she heard a noise. I listened and sure enough we could hear banging on our bedroom wall. So, I jumped out of bed and grabbed my gun, slipped on my flip-flops, grabbed a flashlight, and I was out the door. I hadn't seen a rodent this big since my mission to Argentina. The thing was mean and ugly, and it took about 5 shots to kill the freaking thing. Check it out!

4 shots? Were you using your Red Rider?
ReplyDeleteSam...uh...he looks good.
That thing is huge!
ReplyDeleteWhat the crap is that?!?! I will never be spending the night in Bakersfield again.
ReplyDeleteI think that is equal to about 20 mice.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that an Oppossum? Nasty stuff Drew.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Sam has a job! We'll definitely need updates on that.
I'm just really impressed with your rodent killing skills. Sam, er, looks, er,.....workish.
ReplyDeleteEwww... Good for you for getting it! I can't believe you picked it up... That would have freaked me out! I guess it's got to get thrown away somehow...
ReplyDeleteYou killed it?!?!? Why? Poor lil guy. Are you gonna taxiderm it?
ReplyDeleteDinner anyone?
ReplyDeleteIsn't that an endangered species? I think it's protected by the state.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you only hit it once. "It took like 5 shots to put the thing down." Nice try.
ReplyDeleteWait? They let you have a gun. I thought if you had a felony it was against the law. Thanks for the photos. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't saw it for myself. Sam working at Jack-In-The-Crack? Wha???
ReplyDeleteI came across more info on the R.O.U.S.

Are you sure it was dead? Maybe it was just playing 'possum.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely an opossum. They show up on our back deck some times at night.
ReplyDeleteThey're big and ugly, but not near as "nasty" as rats or mice, they generally stay outside.
